About Bain’s Cape Mountain Whisky
Made with only 100% sun-kissed South African grain, in a region that boasts 850-million-year-old sandstone and a diversity of indigenous fynbos, there’s a story in each sip of Bain’s incredibly smooth single grain whisky.
The taste of Bain’s reflects the unique place where it’s crafted, in the Cape Mountains, near the foothills of the Bainskloof Pass in Wellington in the Western Cape, South Africa. Only the finest South African grain is used, setting Bain’s apart from any other whisky produced in the world.
Launched in 2009, Bain’s Cape Mountain Whisky pays tribute to Andrew Geddes Bain, whose vision, resolve and expertise conquered the Cape Mountains and built the architecturally splendid Bainskloof Pass, connecting the town of Wellington to the interior of the country in 1853.
The Bainskloof Pass, now a national monument, is a botanically-rich area of the Cape, made up of pine forests, a variety of indigenous fynbos, crisp, clear mountain pools and breathtakingly scenic views. Bain’s is inspired by the natural beauty of these Cape Mountains, and its high peaks, cool valleys and biodiversity influence the delicate flavours of our whisky to this day.

About Three Ships Whisky
Three Ships Whisky is produced at Africa’s only commercial whisky distillery, The James Sedgwick Distillery in Wellington, South Africa. The distillery is named after Captain James Sedgwick who settled at the Cape in the 1850s, establishing J. Sedgwick & Co., purveyor of quality liquor, tobacco and cigars in 1859. In 1886, his company purchased a brandy distillery in Wellington which changed hands many times over the years until we made it our home for South African Whisky in 1991.
The Three Ships Whisky range consists of the Three Ships Whisky Select, Three Ships Whisky 5 Year Old Premium Select, Three Ships Whisky Bourbon Cask Finish and the Three Ships Whisky 10 Year Old Single Malt Vintage 2006.
Our innovation and craft truly comes to life in the Master’s Collection released in limited quantities with interesting finishes and styles. These master pieces have included the Three Ships 10 Year Old Single Malt Single Cask PX Finish, Three Ships 15 Year Old Blend Pinotage Cask Finish, and more recently, the Three Ships Whisky 8 Year Old Single Malt Oloroso Cask Finish.

About Jacques Mouton
Jacques Mouton, is more than just your average pretty face. He mastered 5 instruments and then went on to add his pure, beautiful voice to them. With his poetic, soulful writing ability, he created his own niche of acoustic ambiance, guaranteed to capture an audience, with stomping feet or by leading them down memory lane.
Jacques picked up his first guitar at a young age and with that, his absolute love of music and drive to make it a career began. Knowing he needed more than ambition, he followed the practical route to Music College and feeling equipped after graduating with flying colors, took to the stage.
His love for the guitar stuck though, and introduced his audiences to a blend of modern flamenco, jazz and all contemporary acoustic styles.
After the recording of his first solo album ‘Balans’ in June 2016 in Louis Trichard, Jacques took to the road. Between intimate pubs, lodges and festivals, Jacques is as comfortable playing for 10 people as he is in front of a crowd of 500. Here’s a man who knows who he is, humble and a great guy to boot.
